More than $8.5 million invested locally
Every day our customers help change lives, and save lives, simply by banking with us. Their home loans are building skate and sports parks, hospital wings and classrooms. Personal loans, business banking and credit cards are funding ambulances, rescue boats, disabled and aged care facilities.
The Kinglake branch of the Victorian Country Women’s Association is just one of the examples where the Community Bank Model has made a big difference in our community.
Recent support of $500 to the Kinglake CWA has enabled them to purchase materials and ancillary items to enable sewing of winter weight polar fleece to keep rescued fur babies warm until a rescuer can collect and take into care.
This is a new project and once established and proved sustainable it may be extended to others within the region. The sewing component will be an ideal learning curve for young and non sewers and when it is established on a monthly basis will be both a creative and social asset to all ages. The community uptake of these special rescue pouches will result in the survival of more baby animals whose parents have sadly become road kill.
