Minister for Employment and Small Business, Shannon Fentiman today announced Bendigo Bank as a key partner of Queensland Small Business Week 2018.

“Queensland Small Business Week is a true celebration of our state’s diverse small businesses,” Ms Fentiman said.

“Each year, Queensland Small Business Week grows, providing more events and activities to support, connect and empower our 414,000 small businesses right across Queensland.”

“We are delighted to partner with Bendigo Bank for this year’s Queensland Small Business Week and appreciate their commitment and support in helping small businesses thrive throughout the state,” Ms Fentiman said.

Bendigo Bank Queensland State Manager Gavin Holden said Queensland Small Business Week is an important opportunity to acknowledge the vital role of small business in driving economic growth, creating employment opportunities and in helping to make Queensland such a great place to live.

“Bendigo Bank is both delighted and proud to partner with the Office of Small Business as we celebrate Queensland Small Business Week,” Mr Holden said.

“As Australia’s fifth largest full service retail bank, we share similar values and a deep commitment to supporting and strengthening the dynamic small business community and the communities in which we live through our growing Queensland network.”

Minister Fentiman echoed Mr Holden’s commitment to Queensland’s small businesses.

“The Palaszczuk Government recognises small businesses are the engine room of our Queensland economy,” Ms Fentiman said.

“Over 97% of businesses are small businesses. Queensland Small Business Week celebrates the vital contribution that small businesses make to the Queensland economy.”

Queensland Small Business Week 2018 will be held from 28 May – 1 June.
