Bendigo Bank tops credit card satisfaction study
The J.D. Power 2017 Australia Credit Card Satisfaction Study has awarded Bendigo Bank the highest ranking for credit card satisfaction. The 2017 Australia Credit Card Satisfaction Study examines customer satisfaction with the product and service provided by their main financial institution.
Bendigo Bank Chief Customer Officer, Marnie Baker said: "Outstanding customer satisfaction and a full range of great value products are key to our customer proposition and we are honoured to again be recognised as leaders in the Australian credit card market."
"As far back as the early 1980’s Bendigo was the first institution to offer both a credit and a debit card that offered our customers choice and cost-effectiveness with their card payments.
"Innovation in the credit card market is something we are still striving to achieve some 35 years later. Our customers appreciate the fairer way that Bendigo charges interest, be it on our range of low rate credit cards or our platinum product offering.
"We have recently celebrated another major milestone with our RSPCA Mastercard® which supports the RSPCA Adoptapet program and extends our shared value philosophy into the credit card market, raising more than $3 million to help neglected or abandoned animals find their 'forever' home.
"The latest award from J.D. Power confirms that we have struck the right balance with our credit card range when it comes to customer choice, fairness, features and customer service excellence," Ms Baker concluded.
Note: The J.D. Power 2017 Australia Credit Card Satisfaction Study study measures overall satisfaction in six key factors: interaction (31%); credit card terms (26%); billing and payment (21%); rewards (10%); benefits and services (8%); and problem resolution (4%). Based on responses from 4,005 credit card customers, the study included 21 major credit card issuers in the market, 14 of which are rank-eligible, with scores based on the customer’s primary card used. The study was fielded in August-September 2017.
