3 February 2025

Bendigo Bank is pleased to announce a new executive appointment to support the next phase of its strategy and deliver on its vision to be Australia's bank of choice.

Kieran O'Meara has been appointed to the role of Chief Technology Officer. Kieran brings extensive experience in key areas such as digital transformation, technology delivery and software engineering and will commence on 1 April 2025.

Kieran was most recently Chief Information Officer, and head of Software Engineering & IT at Telstra Group where he led Telstra's Software Engineering and Enterprise IT function.

Bendigo Bank Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Richard Fennell said the appointment of a Chief Technology Officer is an important step to support the continued acceleration of the Bank's technology and digital agendas as it positions the business for sustainable growth.

"I am pleased to welcome Kieran to the executive team. Kieran's expertise is highly sought after, and we look forward to leveraging his experience for the benefit of our customers. His leadership of our Technology and Transformation division will ensure we can continue to build capability, deliver improved experiences and deepen relationships with our customers," Mr Fennell said.

Mr O'Meara said he was attracted to the organisation's regional roots and its purpose of feeding into the prosperity of its customers and the community.

"I am looking forward to joining Australia's most trusted bank and continuing the work that has been done to build capability and simplify the business. I am excited to support the next phase of Bendigo Bank's busy growth agenda;' Mr O'Meara said.

Ryan Brosnahan, Chief Transformation Officer will be leaving the Bank in mid-2025 after five years leading the organisation's transformation program.

Mr Fennell said the work completed under the program cleared the way for a modern and digital bank with a contemporary and less complex technology profile.

"I'd like to thank Ryan for his hard work on strengthening capability and reducing complexity in our organisation. Ryan's leadership of the transformation program has laid the foundations for our future success. We wish him well," Mr Fennell said.

Nathalie Moss, who has been Acting Chief Information Officer over the past six months will continue to support Kieran as he transitions into the new role.
