Funding will help with the massive job of cleaning up after the Victorian Floods.
Through funding from Community Bank Inglewood, the Foundation has granted $50,000 to BlazeAid. It will assist with expenses of establishing the BlazeAid camp for volunteers at Bridgewater. The grant will also provide fencing materials, tools and equipment to help get the farmers property to some normalcy after the floods.
Our Bendigo Bank Flood Appeal has additionally granted $20,000 to fund the new volunteer camp in Lockington.
We're proud to continue our funding of BlazeAid, a volunteer-based organisation. They work alongside rural families and help rebuild fences and other structures damaged or destroyed.
Equally important, volunteers also help to lift the spirits of people. Many who are often facing their second or third flood event after years of drought, or devastating losses through bushfires.
BlazeAid volunteers work in a disaster-affected area for many months. They not only help individuals and families, but also help rebuild the local communities.
