At the peak of the bushfire disaster and through the generosity of public and corporate donations our Foundation raised $44 million for bushfire affected communities.
Raising money to help those affected is just one aspect – getting it out to those who need it, is another.
That’s why more than $13 million from our Victorian Bushfire Appeal is now on the ground, supporting communities including vital relief and bereavement payments, fencing aid for rural properties and housing support programs.
Our next step in assisting communities has just been released.
Funding is now available for projects and programs aimed at community recovery across the Alpine, Towong and East Gippsland shires.
An initial $4 million will address short to medium-term recovery needs that are endorsed as community recovery priorities by local Community Recovery Committees.
